TECH TIP - File Recovery in HY Cloud
The use of HY Cloud, whether using the web portal, the "R" drive, or Triofox provides some safety mechanisms that allow you to recover deleted files and also recover previous versions of files.
NOTE:
- Recovery is dependent on file actions being done using the web portal, "R" drive, or Triofox.
- Deleted files are only recoverable for 30 days. Anything older, contact your system administrator to check backup systems.
*THE FOLLOWING STEPS UTILIZE THE WEB PORTAL
FILE VERSION RECOVERY
To recover a previous version of a file, browse to the file you wish to recover. Click the "V#" to the right of the file name.
Download the file versions you require. This will only download the file to your computer. Rename the file and copy to the server, when ready and appropriate.
DELETED FILE RECOVERY
- Browse to the directory that the file was deleted in.
Under the top right menu, select Show Deleted. The page will refresh and deleted file/s will be displayed with a strike through.
Right-click the file/s you wish to recover and select Undo Delete. The page will refresh and your file/s will be restored. *Deleted files are only available for 30 days after deletion.
